She was born 11 April 1908 in LaGrange, a daughter of George W and Enola (Wert) Maxwell. On 9 June 1927, she married Clarence Maystead, in Burr Oak. He preceded her in death. She was a Sturgis-Burr Oak-LaGrange resident all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Burr Oak Home Club. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and crocheting. Surviving are one son, Allen Maystead, Centreville; three daughters, Mrs Delbert (Thelma) Fiebelkorn, Burr Oak, Mrs Alice Verspelt, Mishawaka, Indiana, amd Mrs Marelee Hawver, Sturgis; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Frank (Hazel) Nofsinger, Sturgis, and Mrs Wilma Perry, Burr Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; three sisters, Bertha Gable, Lucille Jones and Ethel Fennell; and two brothers, Harry Maxwell and Ledger Maxwell. The services were officiated by Rev Alan Mettler, Nashville Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in Burr Oak Cemetery. Memorial directed to the American heart Association of Michigan or the Cancer Society of Michigan.

He was born 18 January 1940, in Quincy, a son of Joseph and Mary (March) Michielsen. On 18 September 1961, he married Glenna Barkman, in Centreville. He was a Burr Oak resident since 1961. He was a machinist and was employed at G.D.L. Machine Shop and he also had worked at Doerr Products, Burr Oak. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting and watching western movies. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jess Michielsen and Joey Michielsen, both of Burr Oak; two daughters, Jan Michielsen, Burr Oak, and Mrs Keith (Jill) Counter, Centreville; five grandchildren, Jesse Michielsen, Amanda Michielsen, Colleen Michielsen and Joey Michielsen II, all of Burr Oak, and Johnathan Counter, Centreville; his mother, Mary Michielsen, Burr Oak; three brothers, David Michielsen, Battle Creek, Stanley Michielsen, East Leroy, and William Michielsen, Tekonsha; and two sisters, Mrs Larry (Rosemary) Casey and Mrs Arthur (Marcia) Tobey, both of Tekonsha. He was preceded in death by his father in 1982; one daughter, June Michielsen, in 1972; and one sister, Mrs Dean (Carol) Copas, in 1987. Services were are the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, Sturgis, the Rev Terry Keefer, St Paul's Lutheran Church, Colon, officiating. Burial will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
