Perhaps a family member went to visit someone in Calhoun Co., MI to the NE or Kalamazoo Co., MI to the North and unexpectedly died. Or, by chance, an ancestor might have *run away* to get married and traveled across the state border to neighboring Elkhart Co., IN to the SW or LaGrange Co., IN to the SE. It's so important to check into the records of the neighboring counties... who knows what you might discover!!!
